Psychedelics helped me completely transform my life and my way of living in the world.
Most of the joy I experience in my life today is in some way connected to the lessons I integrated from psychedelic experiences. I experimented recreationally with friends early on, which evolved into more intentional solo journeys, and culminated in working with plant medicine ceremonially under experienced teachers and indigenous tradition.
Responsible, intentional use of psychedelics helped me find my personal purpose, my life partner, and my professional calling. They also helped me heal relationships with my family and completely reinvigorated and transformed how I make meaning in the world. The profound learning, healing, and transformation I experienced through walking this path brought me home to myself and then demanded I give my unique gifts to the world. So now I serve by helping people discover and offer their unique gifts.
Psychedelic integration (alongside coaching and men’s work) stands as one of the three pillars of my work. It’s probably the one I talk about the least because it’s the most easily misunderstood and the most unfamiliar of the three pillars. With psychedelic integration coaching, I help people prepare for and integrate the experiences they have on psychedelics.
The short of it is this: Psychedelics are powerful tools for healing ourselves and understanding who we are. If used intentionally, they can help us resolve anxiety & depression, and even reshape our entire experience of life. But they are most effective and safe when prepared for and integrated alongside an experienced, ethical guide, coach, or therapist and within a strong community of support. Most people using psychedelics today don’t have access to either of these critical elements.
I’ve teamed up with the amazing resource for all things psychedelic integration: Nectara.co (and my dear friend Erin Rose Ward) to offer guidance and support in the form of a Psychedelic Integration Circle on March 13th at 3PM PST.
